The University of Utah has been selected by the Commission on Presidential Debates as a presidential debate host site for the 2024 election cycle.
(Start time has not yet been announced.)
Please come to our May Meet and Greet. We’re so excited to have members of Bolder Way Forward (formerly Women in Leadership Project with Susan Madsen) come and join us. It’s a bold movement, and we want to learn more about it and how our purposes intersect. The Davis BWF Coalition will present the BWF movement overall and discuss Davis County in particular.

The 2024 Convention of the League of Women Voters of Utah is scheduled for Tuesday, May 14, from 5 - 7:30 p.m. This event will be completely virtual and is open to all active members without any charge.
The agenda for the convention includes nominations for the LWV Utah Board positions, budget discussion, program overview, and amendments to bylaws. A workbook will be sent electronically to all participants at least seven days before the convention.
The League of Women Voters operates as a grassroots organization, where the program and studies for the year are determined by its members. Your participation is essential to shape the League's work.
Our very informal format will begin with a brief mingle from 5:30-6:00 pm before Zooming in for an update on Public Education--Vouchers from our sister League of SLC's Observer Corp. Followed by a meet and greet to introduce ourselves, discuss the report and ways to get involved in the coming months.

The 16th year of brining nonprofit leaders together in the spirit of advocacy and equipping them with the training, space and resources needed to build meaningful relationships with policy maker. Katharine Biele, President of LWV of Utah will participate on a panel that begins at 8 am. LWV Utah will have a table upstairs in the Rotunda beginning at 11, but you can come to set up downstairs any time. There will be Personal Privilege in both the Senate (Vickers) and the House (Romero) later in the day.
We usually have our LAC meeting on the first Saturday of the month, but we are rescheduling our meeting for Saturday, January 13th, at the usual 10:30 time. We will discuss bills related to the LWVUT Legislative Priorities and our immediate communication and lobbying strategies for the 2024 Legislative Session.
Due to the inclement weather this meeting will be held virtually only.
