  1. If elected, what two things do you hope to accomplish as a member of the House of Representatives for the people of Utah ?

    1.  Reduce taxes.
    2.  Keep the people close to the government.

  2. How would you address the following issues? (Please answer each question in 200 words or less.)
    - Adequate funding for education, including funding for disadvantaged populations such as non-English-speakers and prison inmates

Education Funding - Find creative ways to address finnacial shortfalls in the classroom.  As a teacher I fully support merit pay, vouchers, and bringing market conditions into the shcool environment.  I believe that schools that are more accountable to parents will run more efficiently.
Disadvantaged populations are the only population that I have worked with in my last 16 years in education.  They benefiot from teachers and a school system that is responsive and not tied up in red tape that comes with all government programs.

    - Energy resource development and clean air

Energy resource development - Nuclear power.
    Clean air - nuclear power.

    - Water development and conservation

Build more dams as the need arises.

    - Better communication between elected officials and their constituents

Create an email database and establish funds that enable law makers to email, snail mail, and phone their constituents.  In the last year I have spent over 5000.00 of my own money to communicate with constituents.

  3. If the State had a revenue surplus of $100 million, how would you allocate the money? (Response should include $______________ for ________________________________.
