1. If elected, what two things do you hope to accomplish as a member of the House of Representative for the people of Utah?
Bring balance to the legislature.
2. How would you address the following issues? (Please answer each question in 200 words or less.)
-Adequate funding for education, including funding for disadvantaged populations such as non-English-speakers and prison inmates
Education is a top concern for me - and not just for our children. There are many people that need education in
Utah
.
- Energy resource development and clean air
Public transportation needs to be a higher priority, as does alternative fuels - nuclear, wind, and solar especially.
- Water development and conservation.
We live in a desert! We need to do better in conserving our water resources - gray water retrieval, rain water gathering, low maintenance landscaping.
- Better communication between elected officials and their constituents
This has to happen. I feel that the people fear their elected officials when it should be the opposite. More people need to hold their elected officials accountable for their actions.
