1. What are the major issues facing the State School Board today?
- Teacher's pay
- Funding for schools
- Retaining the best teachers
- Accountability
- Coordination and communication with the state legislature and the business community
2. What is your position on these issues?
The children and students in the state of the Utah deserve a world-class education. To ensure the best education, we need the best teachers. It is critial that a retention program that explores quality of life and teacher pay is explored.
As a father I want to ensure that my children and every student has every opportunity. Tools, equipment, and supplies are necessary to a fertile envioronment for young minds to express themselves and to learn.
Those in whom we entrust to teach our children need to be accountable. Great teachers understand their children and get great results. We need to ensure that these great teachers are regonized for great work.
