Governor

The General Election is November 4, 2008. All candidates have been given the opportunity to post their responses to our questions. Districts without a challenger are listed and the incumbents are listed.

The League of Women Voters has made every effort to present accurately the responses submitted by each candidate.

Questions:

  1. If elected, what two things do you hope to accomplish as Governor for the people of Utah?

    - Adequate funding for education, including funding for disadvantaged populations such as non-English-speakers and prison inmates
    - Energy resource development and clean air
    - Water development and conservation
    - Better communication between elected officials and their constituents
