Action Alert

* Oppose bills that will limit transparency provided by the Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA) and the Open and Public Meetings Act.  

Transparency in government is one of the basic positions of the League.

HB189, Closed Meeting Amendments sponsored by Painter allows closed meetings to discuss purchase, exchange, lease or sale of a water right or source of water supply.Scheduled to be discussed at the House Political Subdivisions Committee on February 22 at 8:00 a.m.

SB 185, Adoption of Canal Safety Act sponsored by Davis requires canal remediation plans and and adds those plans to the the list of protected records under GRAMA.  Scheduled to be discussed at the Senate Natural Resources Agriculture and Environment Committee on February 22 at 4:10 p.m.
